here's a sad, sad confession of mine.. I have a reallly bad sweet tooth for almost anything that has sugar in it. it's awful, really, I dislike it a lot! haha lately I've been very bad at watching what sweets I eat, and I'm starting to feel and notice it, which I am noootttt okay with!
so today I decided I would try to fix it--somehow! in my family, we try our hardest to keep sweets out of our house, but when you home school and are home for a good portion of the day, you dig in the cupboards to find a good fix for your sweet tooth.. I'm soo guilty!! hahaha anywho, to get to the point..
I made these today!

wax paper, melted semi-sweet chocolate chips, and raw almonds thrown into the freezer for a few minutes..yum! |
whenever I complain to my mother about my want for something sweet, this is what she says.. "go eat a handful of chocolate chips and almonds!" SO, I've made these! literally all you do is 1) get some wax paper, 2) melt some semi-sweet chocolate chips, 3) get some almonds, 4) use spoon to dab melted chocolate on wax paper and then place almonds on top, 5) stick the wax paper on a flat surface inside of the freezer--if you don't do this last step they won't harden and you can't eat them! so simple!
I'm happy to say that I can fulfill my sweet tooth AND add some protein along with it..and it actually tastes good! haha when I have something sweet in the house and I have access to it, it's ohhh so hard not to run for it when I want something quick and sweet. but with these, the chocolate fills my sweet craving for a long time and the almond balances it out as well!
let me know what you think of them in the comments if you try it!
love, megs. :)
